sQuid in colleges

Cash off campus
Does your College require a low-cost, easy to administer and effective system for replacing cash transactions and potentially other types of transaction on campus?

We deliver an eMoney purse on a dedicated sQuid smart card, or an existing College one, that will enable you to ensure all services are correctly paid and accounted for, at low cost via a secure payment system.

The proposition for your students is around simplicity, speed, and security. An eMoney purse gives students the benefit of a non-cash payment service, and encourages easy and efficient use of the campus services. With online access to all sQuid transactions, students are able to budget their spending more effectively.

sQuid on the Bolton College card

West Cheshire College card
Using the latest in smartcard technology, West Cheshire College have teamed up with sQuid, the eMoney payments network, to enable students to pay quickly and securely for items across the campus with their student ID card.

Core Features

Registration and issuing of smartcards via a simple, auditable process, with control of distribution on campus

Students can then activate the eMoney purse online via an easy to use web portal - registering name, address, password and card number to access the system

The stored value on the card is used to make a transaction - for example cashless catering - the student taps the card on the reader by the till, the purse is read and value is deducted

Card is re-loadable, offline or over the internet, with value being deposited on the card when next used at a reader.

The technology platform used by sQuidcard is straight forward, using proven card and reader technology, which is already in widespread use across retail outlets in the UK.

A back-office supports the sQuidcard platform, and would enable your College to access reports on transactions and general card usage information.
