Car rental firm unveils new loyalty programme
16 Mar 2012

A US car rental firm has launched a new loyalty programme which offers drivers the chance to hire vehicles for free.

The new scheme from Enterprise Rent-A-Car will see customers accrue points every time they rent a car from the company. These points can then be redeemed for free rentals of any available vehicle in more than 5,500 of the firm's branches in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.

Members of the Enterprise Plus loyalty programme will also have the chance to upgrade their status to the Silver, Gold or Platinum levels, with each band offering its own unique set of benefits.

Jim Stoeppler, Enterprise's brand director, claimed that the firm developed the scheme as a way in which to rewards its customers for their loyalty.

He said: "What makes these enhancements so exciting - beyond free rental days with no blackout dates - is that we're building on the excellent customer service we already strive to provide each day in our locations by giving our customers what they told us they wanted… rewards."

Other advantages of the scheme include access to members-only check-in at select locations and to dedicated phone lines for expedited service.
