Grimsby loyalty scheme extended to March
23 Jan 2012
A loyalty scheme which offers shoppers in Grimsby discounts at local shops has been extended to March, it has been revealed.
The Grimsby Telegraph's Buy Local programme was originally only set to run for three months from September 2011 but its popularity with local shoppers has resulted in the newspaper lengthening the scheme.
A total of 4,075 people have signed up for a Buy Local loyalty card, with members benefitting from offers in over 50 stores in the town.
Rachel Salter, display advertising manager at the Grimsby Telegraph, told the newspaper that the campaign is growing all the time.
"We have had around 50 businesses so far this year offering some great deals and we anticipate this will carry on growing," she said.
"The only way the campaign will continue is with the public signing up for their cards and grabbing some great bargains available."
Local restaurants, jewellers, delis and butchers are among the traders to have signed up to the programme.
