Loyalty card scheme provides boost to Sevenoaks retailers
18 Apr 2012

The launch of a loyalty card scheme in a town in Kent has provided a vital boost to retailer in the area, new figures have shown.

Launched last year, the Sevenoaks Chronicle and the town's Chamber of Commerce launched the Sevenoaks Chronicle Loyalty Card.

The card offers customers, who fill their loyalty card with six £10 stamps, the chance to win money-off vouchers at participating stores and the potential prize money has clearly encouraged shoppers to buy from local stores.

Figures from the Chronicle show that £74,760 was spent by card users in participating outlets in March and the first week of April, prompting local councillors to praise the scheme's impact on the local area.

Councillor Margaret Crabtree, who pulled out the winning cards on April 5th, told the news provider: "I think the Sevenoaks Loyalty Card scheme is a really good idea and it encourages people to use shops in the town

"It is really good that more and more shops are coming on board. It just seems so popular."
