New loyalty card scheme launched in Surrey
6 Mar 2012

A new loyalty card scheme has been launched in a Surrey town which will offer shoppers a range of discounts at local stores.

The Shoppers' Loyalty Passport is set to be rolled out across shops in Caterham Valley and Caterham-on-the-Hill in April, reports the Tandridge Mirror.

Developed by Chris Windridge, chairman of the A Better Caterham group, the scheme will see shoppers entered into a prize draw once they have collected ten stamps from a minimum of three participating shops.

Andy Parr, who chairs the annual Caterham Festival, told the news provider: "It sounds like a great idea. The more people who are encouraged to shop in Caterham, the better.

"If residents shop locally they not only save money on petrol but don't have to pay for short-term parking as you do in the likes of Redhill and Croydon."

Dependant on the number of retailers which sign up to the programme, it is hoped that a £1,000 quarterly prize fund could be offered to loyalty cardholders.
