New loyalty scheme aims to reinvigorate Nottingham city centre
26 Mar 2012

A new loyalty scheme has been launched in Nottingham which aims to breathe new life into the city centre's beleaguered retailers.

Shoppers are required to sign up for VIP Nottingham online for free in order to receive a email detailing all the latest special offers and discounts at participating stores and attractions, reports the Nottingham Post.

Malcolm Pheby, editor of the Nottingham Post, has signed up to the scheme and revealed that the paper is "passionate" about supporting the local economy.

He told the news provider: "Anything that boosts the retail and leisure sectors in Nottingham has got to be good news. This is an exciting initiative which should generate lots of interest in our shops, bars and restaurants."

VIP Nottingham, which kicks off with a special Easter Festival offering half-price menus at top city centre restaurants such as Atlas Delhi, was developed by the Nottingham Retail and Leisure Business Improvement Districts.
