Orange teams up with Eat to launch new loyalty scheme
24 Feb 2012
Mobile phone operator Orange has teamed up with food chain Eat to launch a new loyalty scheme for its customers.
The new Quick Tap Treats programme will allow Orange customers with near field communication (NFC)-enabled handsets to claim free treats at any one of Eat's 110 branches.
In order to access the offers, NFC-enabled phone users simply scan codes printed on specially designed posters in order to bring up a game on their device that allows them to win a voucher.
Pippa Dunn, Orange's chief marketing officer, said: "Last year we started a whole new movement in the way consumers make payments on the high street, and with Quick Tap Treats, we're continuing this with a new and innovative way for our customers to receive rewards for their loyalty.
"So whether it's a free coffee on the way into work, or a free baguette at lunchtime, you really do get more with your mobile on Orange."
Orange has revealed that approximately 200,000 customers will be able to benefit from the scheme following its launch in early March.
