What is the School Cashless Catering System all about?
Our school has teamed up with Innovate, our catering partners and sQuid, to introduce a new cashless catering system, an easy way for students to pay.
Students and staff can now use a pre-pay contactless smart card or
biometric identification
to pay for food and drink at the school canteen. It's convenient, safe and secure, and can be topped-up online so you don't have to bring cash to school.

More than one child using sQuid at school?
Each account has a unique username
If you would like to register more than one child, you will need to register each child separately with a different username. All other security information, i.e., passwords and security questions/answers can be the same for each.
Your account may have more than one purse
Different purses are for different functions
You have more than one purse when you login, one for cashless catering and one for school trips. Please note that it is not possible to transfer funds between them, so please ensure you add money to the correct purse.
For buying lunch or a snack from the school canteen
sQuid is a smart way for you to top-up your cashless catering purse online, so that you can then pay for your lunch or a snack from the school canteen. Top-up by bank transfer, or from a credit or debit card.
For school trips and other school offers
Use this purse to buy school offers such as trips. If your account doesn’t have this purse but you would like your school to offer this, please email us your school name at info@squidcard.com with the words “Trip payments” in the subject line

The small print....including terms and conditions
- The draw is only open to accounts registered with sQuid.
- Entrants must be aged 16 or over or receive parental permission to accept the prize
- Only innovate sQuid purchases using a registered account are valid. Excludes purchases on other private schemes.
- Ten prizes of £10 credit will be awarded onto innovate sQuid accounts, there is no cash alternative
- Every sale transaction made with sQuid is date and time stamped, so that we are able to identify every transaction that takes place during a given time period

- One person (card holder) to win each month
- Free school meals for the following month
- Value of Free School Meals - £35
- Free School Meals for a month fulfilment criteria are:
° Registered account holders only
° Top up ONLINE with £25 or more in the given month
° Spend (PURCHASES) at least £25 in the given month
You can logon and check your balance at anytime. You can also view your transactions to exactly how much has been spent and when. You can also download a copy of your transactions.
You can top-up your sQuid account online, from the comfort of your own home. You can do this using a debit or credit card or by bank transfer.
View your personal details at anytime online. You can also update these by clicking on the Edit details button. You can also change your Email address and Password too.
sQuid is safer than using cash. Once you have created a sQuid account and registered your card it can be reported lost and then 'hot listed'. Any remaining balance can be transferred to a new card.
