sQuid attends CaLP’s Global Cash Forum, Geneva 28-29 June
sQuid recently attended The Cash Learning Partnership’s (CaLP) Global Cash Forum which brought together the world's leading stakeholders working on cash transfer programming in humanitarian response, including governments, the UN, NGOs and the private sector.
Taking place 28-29 June in Geneva, Switzerland, the two-day event gave participants the opportunity to strengthen their network of influential actors working on cash, learn about good practices to be applied in their work, and gain deeper insights into key collective challenges and potential solutions in order to drive cash reform.
The Global Cash Forum was insightful and valuable for sQuid to attend given the increased number of cash transfer programmes the company has operated this year - helping humanitarian agencies deliver cash, safely and digitally, in Kenya, Somalia and Nigeria.
We see growing demand from humanitarian actors who are seeking to deliver cash digitally to beneficiaries in challenging environments. These organisations are also demanding proven, high-integrity payment systems and accompanying mobile technology that are supplied by regulated organisations such as sQuid, who can operate these systems and ensure that all security requirements are met, and that there is no risk of funds or beneficiary data being lost.
